Helllloooo spring! Literally, spring started yesterday and I’m so ready for it! Before we moved, I started decorating for spring, which included this extra large floral word art that greets you the moment you walk in the door. Because flowers are the number one way I decorate for the season, I decided to go with the “more is more” approach. Plus, have you seen the floral selection at JOANN?! I decided to stick with a color scheme and then went to town in the floral department (clearly).

The key to making this large floral sign is to buy A LOT of flowers. Buy more than you think you need because you will probably need them! Luckily JOANN has a huge selection of flowers, so you can stick to a color scheme pretty easily and still have a variety of options.

What would your sign say?! I liked “hello” because I knew I wanted it in the entryway, but “spring” or even your family name would be cute signs too!

Supplies:

  • Thick poster board
  • Pen/pencil
  • Craft knife
  • Cutting mat
  • Variety of fake flowers
  • Wire cutters
  • Glue gun

Step 1: Draw out your word in cursive on the poster board as large as possible (using two pieces if needed). Don’t worry about messy lines or covering mistakes! They’ll be covered.

Step 2: Use a craft knife over a cutting-safe surface to cut out the word.

Step 3: Cut the flowers from the stems using a set of wire cutters. You’ll need A LOT and a variety of sizes.

Step 4: Heat up the glue gun and begin gluing the flowers onto the poster board. Spread out the largest flowers first, and fill in with medium and small flowers, alternating the colors until full.

Note, be careful to keep the space between letters open so that you can still read it.

Once you finish filling in all of the flowers, you can hang it to a wall with several Command strips taped to the back! This will make it easy to put up and take down anywhere you want.

Nothing else in my home screams SPRING quite like this floral sign, and I love it that way!

Thank you to JOANN for generously sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own. Thanks for supporting the brands that keep Club Crafted sharing!

"FIP Warrior" is the name we give to cats fighting FIP and the humans who help them, bringing awareness to the disease and possible treatments. Our Warrior Milo is almost halfway through his treatment and we couldn't be more grateful to see him getting better! Every purchase from my shop helps us to pay for his expensive treatments and is so, so appreciated πŸ™πŸΌ
🍁 I can't beLEAF it's been a whole month since 🍁 I can't beLEAF it's been a whole month since my last post (oops!) but I had to fit in my one obligatory fall photo before I dive straight into Christmas! If you caught my Stories recently, you may have already seen why I've been so absent...

Last month, our sweet Milo was diagnosed with a disease called feline infectious peritonitis (FIP). It's very serious and has required our full attention to give him daily injections that should help him recover. The treatment is 84+ days long and has taken a huge emotional toll on us. You can learn more about Milo's FIP story in my profile Highlights!

Long story short: I've been too emotionally drained from Milo's treatment, my regular work and the crazy world around us to even think about social media 😣 I truly don't know how you fellow creators do it! Hopefully the cheerfulness of Christmastime gives me the urge to create again! (πŸ“Έ cookies made for a project with @spectrumorganic)
