DIY Truck Terrarium Decor [+ a Video!]

DIY Truck Terrarium Decor | Club Crafted

The following post is sponsored by Aleene’s

DIY Truck Terrarium Decor | Club CraftedI’ve been itching to redecorate lately, and because I can’t actually redecorate, I’m incorporating more DIY decorations, including this new DIY truck terrarium using fake succulents, of course. This antique-style yellow truck is the perfect color for my living room decor and the bed of the truck is perfectly sized for a little planter/terrarium. Using fake succulents to make my life easier (and because I kill real plants), I partnered with Aleene’s to share how their Tacky Glue holds these fake plants in place, using rocks as a filler.

DIY Truck Terrarium Decor | Club Crafted DIY Truck Terrarium Decor | Club CraftedTo show you this simple DIY, I have a new video for you guys!

This project is so simple, you can make it in as little as 10 minutes. Fill up the bed of a small truck decoration with 4-5 fake succulents so it’s full to the brim, and it makes a pretty piece of decor for a shelf!

When choosing succulents to fill the bed of your truck terrarium, I recommend using a variety of sizes and even colors. I found a set on Amazon (linked below) with this pretty pink plant and other succulents in multiple sizes that worked out perfectly when I mixed and matched with several from Michaels. Psst, if you can’t find a truck you like, I’ve linked mine below too! You’ll be blown away with how quickly this project comes together. Now, check out the video to make one for yourself!

Time: 10 minutes

Supplies:

  • Antique-style truck (check dimensions before purchasing!)
  • 4-5 fake succulent plants, variety sizes
  • Aleene’s Tacky Glue
  • Small decorative rocks

Step 1: Apply a small amount of glue to the bed of the truck and sprinkle rocks inside so it is about 1/2 inch thick.

Step 2: Apply glue to the end of a large succulent (trim if needed first) and stick into the rocks, pressing against the side of the truck to stick in place.

Step 3: Repeat with another large succulent, followed by smaller succulents to fill in the holes. Set aside to dry completely for several hours.

DIY Truck Terrarium Decor | Club CraftedDisplay your new terrarium on a shelf! I love this way of adding more green to our decor despite my brown thumb. Fake plants are the BEST, you guys! Hmm, what can I turn into a terrarium next?

Thank you to Aleene’s for generously sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own. Thanks for supporting the brands that keep Club Crafted sharing!
